Overview of the Role
We are looking for a Mid-Level Front-End Developer with strong expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to build intuitive, high-performance web interfaces. This role focuses on designing responsive user experiences, integrating REST APIs, and ensuring optimal application performance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the development team to discuss UI concepts and application requirements.
- Review interface designs to ensure alignment with user needs, usability standards, and project objectives.
- Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and high-performance front-end applications.
- Develop responsive UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React.
- Write clean, maintainable interface code following established development workflows.
- Contribute to front-end architecture that supports scalable and reusable UI components.
- Integrate and work extensively with REST APIs to enhance functionality and data flow.
- Ensure secure, efficient communication between front-end and back-end systems.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize front-end performance for seamless user experience.
- Debug interface issues and resolve defects promptly.
- Document application changes, technical decisions, and implementation details.
- Support ongoing updates to keep software current, stable, and effective.
Desired Skills/Background
- B.E./B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, or equivalent; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in software development, IT solutions, or MIS delivery.
- At least one year of involvement in IT/ICT implementation within the education sector for central or state government.
- Participation in at least one government or multilateral project is required.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Proven experience building responsive user interfaces using React.
- Solid understanding of REST, SOAP, and scalable API design principles.
- Familiarity with open-source education platforms such as Sunbird or similar ecosystems.
- Experience working with LAMP or comparable application stacks.
- Hands-on use of source control and collaboration tools such as GitHub and Jira.
- Knowledge of front-end performance optimization and modern build tools.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Clear communication and effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
